In 2006 the future founders of FAR Hospitality sat down for lunch and toyed with the idea of using their long experience in the restaurant industry to open up a little taco place.

That year, they acquired a space that for years had housed a modest sushi restaurant in a strip shopping center near the Devonshire area of Dallas.

Applying their knowledge, tastes and aspirations they created Shinsei.
This destination restaurant features sushi, chef driven asian fusion cuisine, a deep and broad wine cellar and an exciting/vibrant atmosphere.
Shinsei became an instant hit.

In the intervening years, these innovators opened up two other fine dining establishments in the same neighborhood: Lover’s Seafood & Market and Dea Restaurant.

They’ve also opened an event space, The Viewing Room.

The gourmands that flocked to these amazing restaurants did not go unnoticed, and led a vanguard of new restaurants opening nearby: Italian, french, steak, health food, upscale Mexican and other brands began to appear, making this neighborhood a must-visit destination for any Dallas foodie.

And who are these visionaries? Lynae Fearing and Tracy Rathbun.

Lynae Fearing has experienced the best of the best when it comes to culinary expertise, fine-dining, world-class travel, and renowned restaurants. Growing up, the restaurant industry became a second home for Lynae as she made her way through high school, college and beyond.

It was during this time that she also found her passion for people by engaging over a good glass of wine and great food. When Lynae is not making her rounds at Shinsei, Lovers Seafood, or Dea, she enjoys traveling, yoga, and spending as much time as she can with her two sons, Jaxson and Campbell.

During her extensive travels to Lynae has discovered many culinary innovations that now grace FAR Hospitality’s tables.

Tracy Rathbun brings with her over 30 years of restaurant and managerial experience. While pursuing her Psychology degree at the University of Texas at Austin, she worked her way through school at the Lakeview Café, waiting tables and managing. Upon graduation she moved to Dallas where she was food and beverage manager for the Hyatt Regency.

For the next 14 years she moved from sales to General Sales Manager for Park Place Porsche and Boardwalk Porsche. As you can see, Tracy uses her Psychology degree on a very regular basis.

A flawless hostess and avid art collector, Tracy and her husband, Kent, enjoy hosting private dinner parties and traveling the world. Her favorite city outside of her hometown  (Dallas), is Cape Town South Africa. She and her family are always up for a culinary adventure.
